THE “POOLRX SOLUTION”

We at Pool Concepts Unlimited had a pretty good summer overall.  The mild weather this year was a welcome break from the 90 degree summers we have had the last 4-5 years.  However, we noticed while enjoying less heat this summer, we got hit hard by a crazy algae bloom! The algae showed up with a vengeance unlike we have seen in recent memory. Now don’t get me wrong, we get algae every year and must do battle every year from March until about mid-May. But when I say we “get Algae” I’m talking about around the steps, maybe some on the South wall, a little here, a little there. What we had this year was every pool, everywhere! In 20 years I have not seen it like this. We even prepare every year by adding algaecide in the pools preceding the season. We start brushing the areas of the pools where we think it might show up just to get a jump on it.

This year, no algaecide, no brushing, no filter cleaning, extra chlorine, extra visits, etc. worked. We were left scratching our head and even going to outside sources for any helpful suggestions we could get.

Finally, one day while angrily brushing yet another algae pool I remembered something I had heard about 10 years ago while at a pool show. I called my supplier and ordered 3 units so we could try it out on some of our worst pools as a test.

Orange County Pool ServiceThe results were absolutely amazing! Without exception every pool was perfect. No algae after just five days, just blue sparkling water. I had actually not seen these particular pools look like this, ever– all being long term clients of 10 years or more.

The clients were overjoyed as they had resigned themselves to a subpar pool every year. Now they were proud of their pool. And so were we…

PoolRX is a mineral purifier that introduces a precise amount of minerals to the pool through the use of a small mineral canister. The minerals are release into the filter through the skimmer and dilutes in the water creating a mineral water pool. As the mineral content depletes while sanitizing the water, the minerals are rejuvenated as they pass again through the alloy rod in the canister. The ions are reversed causing the minerals to become active again. Since algae can’t live in a mineral environment, chlorine is free to focus on other sanitation duties and can be used at a much lower dose. Thus providing a much more pleasurable swimming experience. We have asked our clients to give us feedback on the feel of swimming in mineral water and without exception, they agreed that it was a lighter, cleaner feel. They also reported that it was much easier on their eyes, hair, and bathing suits. What a life saver!

We fell in love with this product. So much so that we sold it at our cost to anyone who wanted a solution finally to their pool problems. It’s not about making money, it’s about making people happy. If we can do that, our job is done.

The summer of 2014 will be much different for Pool Concepts Unlimited and our clients. We finally have a way to successfully eliminate algae from our pools while creating a healthier and more enjoyable look and feel for our clients – all sold at wholesale prices!

Feel free to give us a call if you feel PoolRx is right for you or if you have any questions.

Just so you know, we don’t work for the PoolRX company in any way, nor do we make any commission on any sales generated by PCU pools. We buy PoolRX like everyone else, at our wholesale price. We are simply committed to providing the safest alternatives to pool sanitation and in the process doing our best to cut down on the harmful effects of high residual chlorine use.
